Working with a leading debit association, CFSC consolidated materials from debit providers around the world into a comprehensive manual for issuers. The guide includes benchmarks, best practices, and considerations to ensure debit program success.

Improving Debit Program Results

CFSC was retained by a leading international bank to assess their debit program and recommend tactics for improvement. Our review was across the cardholder lifecycle—from acquisition and activation to usage and retention. To aid the bank with its strategy, CFSC conducted an onsite workshop to identify and prioritize opportunities. We also provided guidance on reporting and benchmarks.

Increasing Prepaid Card Activation

CFSC interviewed cardholders and other prepaid issuers to understand barriers to activation. Based on these insights, we redesigned the account opening materials to simplify the messaging, clarify account funding, and provide incentives for specific actions. When our approach was tested against the control, the issuer saw a dramatic improvement. As a result, our tactics were rolled out.
