Startup Marketing for Financial Services Subsidiary

A financial institution partnered with a mobile phone provider to offer mobile banking services. CFSC provided comprehensive marketing services to support the joint venture, including drafting an overarching marketing requirements document; design and implementation of a website; writing and conducting a request for proposal for public relations services; and creation of a slide library to facilitate executive presentations.

Repricing Bankcard Accounts

To increase bank profitability and customer retention, CFSC designed and managed an integrated direct mail and telephone campaign that repriced bankcard accounts based on customer preferences and behavior. The program increased the client’s wallet share with these customers by 400% and is now a primary customer management strategy.

Application Review and Streamlining

In an effort to encourage application completion and enhance banking customers’ experience, CFSC evaluated business account applications and talked to bankers, product managers, and dpartment representatives to determine which fields were not required for underwriting or to elicit information used by key partners. Finally, we shortened existing applications and created new, speedy-completion applications.

Improving Customer Letters and Decline Reasons

A leading bank wished to be perceived by customers as more accessible and welcoming of customer response, even when it had to decline customers’ loan applications. CFSC revised bank communications, making them more positive and friendly. In addition, we provided customer service talking points, including straightforward decline reasons, ways to increase likelihood of future approval, and invitations to reapply.
